The ten companions of Ahmadiyya

The disciples of Maolana Shaykh Ahmed Tijanni (ra) were so numerous that are equal to the number of the Prophets

"Our Master Abil Abbas Sidi Ahmed Tijani (may Allah be pleased with him) had as many as 124,000 Companions. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the Messengers of God, for it is the number of the Companions of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him. Their number is 124,000."

And Out of this figure, ten of them were Promised Fath' Akbar (Great Opening) which is synonymous to the ten companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) that were also promised paradise. Shaykh Ahmad Tijanni (ra) was inquired about this opening, he asserted that ten disciples completed a special task and hence, were given the grand opening by Seyyid l Wujud (saw). The names of these ten disciples are:

1.  Sidi Mahmoud Tunusi  (d. 1230/1815, Bab al-Futuh, Fez)
2. Sidi Abderrahman Barrada     (d. 1230/1815, Ben Amrou, Fez)

The names of the ten companions of the Prophet (saw) that were promised by paradise are:

It is worthy of note that Shaykh Ahmad Tijanni was given alot of authorities, training (تربية) and assistance (الامداد) by Seyyid l wujud (saw) in all small and great issues and part of the promise and tranquillity that was given to him to aid the station of his disciples was affirmed from the statement of our master

“The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) told me: “Your paupers are my paupers, your students are my students, and your companions are my companions. Everyone who receives your litany is emancipated from the Fire of Hell.'" - Shaykh Ahmad Tijanni (ra) .

Every Tijani student who has an authentic chain of transmission to Shaykh Ahmad Tijanni will thus receive his own share of this great news by the Prophet. Meanwhile,  good training and morals are key in getting nafs to the essence of the mystic path of Tijanniya which is Al-Fath (Spiritual opening). These were stipulated in several works of Sufi academic icons as well as Mystic trainers who are themselves well engrossed in Morals.
